An escort was organized to accompany Morse March 15 from Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre to Lourdes Hospital in Binghamton then on to Watertown.
The 21-year-old died March 12 following an incident March 3 at the New York State Fire Academy.

New York State Police investigating the incident say Morse was participating in a Recruit Firefighter Training program at the academy in Montour Falls on March 3 when he suffered a medical emergency.
The escort route was to travel from Sayre, east on Route 17/I86 to Johnson City, to Route 201, the traffic circle and Riverside Drive to Lourdes then was to travel midday on I81 north to Watertown.
